We had our first impromptu field trip of the year on Friday, January 9th. Five individuals carpooled to Baker Lake at Mt. Baker, WA near Swift Creek to hunt for blue agates and jasper. We've also visited other club's gem shows, and did a dig at Walker Valley in Big Lake, WA. We recently carpooled to the Everett Rock and Gem Club's show in Monroe, WA.
Our next field trip is: TBD. Check out the Events page for more info. about upcoming events.
In just five short months, we have already secured a new "home" with a bigger, dedicated space for meetings, a larger sales floor, and even our own lapidary shop with saws, grinders, and other equipment. MORE INFO TO COME SOON!
Our next step is to focus on membership growth and the possibility of formalizing our club's structure. Everyone who has participated so far has contributed to the success of this new adventure; thank you to all of the Rock Lickers for making this club what it is:
This is an informal group of like-minded individuals who love and want to learn more about rocks.
